Obituary of John Davis

John "Thom" Davis, 57, beloved husband, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at Akron General Medical Center on October 6, 2012. Born in Barberton on October 21, 1954, to the late John and Orphia Davis, Thom was a lifetime area resident and was a graduate of Barberton High School. He worked as the manager at the Harbor Inn for over 10 years and was loved by all. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and especially his dogs. He is survived by the love of his life and wife for 18 years, Janet; daughter, Tammy (Gerard) Partoens and son, Troy (Christina) Grayshock; sister, Patsy (Tom) Bauer; his beloved grandchildren, Alayna, Jaidyn, Brandon, and Quinten; nieces, Connie and Cindy and nephew, Tom. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o the funeral home.
