Elizabeth Weigle, 87, went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2010 at Maison Aine Care Center in Stow.
Born in Hartshorne, OK on December 31, 1922 to the late Frank and Mary Demanovich, Elizabeth had been a lifetime area resident. She was a 1940 graduate of Garfield High School and was employed for over 38 years by the BF Goodrich Tire & Rubber Co. Elizabeth was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore, where she was a longtime fish fry volunteer. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Darwin in 1978 and sisters Helen, Julia, and Olga. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Larry and Julie of Stow; granddaughter Katharine Weigle of East Machias, ME; brother and sister-in-law John and Norita Dempsey and brother-in-law Ralph Balesky.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the staff and medical personnel at Maison Aine Care Center in Stow for all of the compassionate care that was given to Elizabeth during her time there.
Funeral services will take place Monday at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church 755 Cleveland Ave in Mogadore, where Elizabeth will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church 755 S. Cleveland Ave Mogadore, OH 44260.
