Obituary of Charles 'Bud' Joseph Bennett
-CUYAHOGA FALLS
Charles 'Bud' Bennett, 80, passed away from this life to his heavenly
home on December 29, at Akron City Hospital, after a long illness with
lung disease.
Born March 6, 1929 in Akron to the late Forrest Joseph and Elizabeth
Bennett, Bud had been a Falls resident for over 78 years. He was a 1947
graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. Bud served in the US Army
during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1954, rising to the rank of
Corporal. He worked for the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg as a
layout inspector for 28 years, until his retirement in 1986. Bud was a
member of the American Legion Charles Faust Post #281 in Cuyahoga Falls
as well as the United Preasbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his
sister Margaret Norton. He is survived by his sister Mildred Cacfules
of Murrells Inlet, SC and brother and sister-in-law Carl K. and Loretta
Bennett of Alliance; 14 nieces & nephews and 29 great nieces & nephews.
Bud was a caring and benevolent personality to many and will be missed
by all of his relatives and friends.
Funeral services will take place Saturday at 1:00 pm at the United
Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 2819 Hudson Drive, where the
family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations in Bud's memory may be made to the United Presbyterian Church
of Cuyahoga Falls, 2819 Hudson Drive, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
