Obituary of Mathew Joseph Capan

Mathew J. Capan, 71, passed away Friday September 28, 2012. Mathew was born January 13, 1941 to Mathew and Mary (Antonovich) Capan in Akron and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Garfield High School and was a retired brick layer and Insurance Agent. He was a member of the Sportsman's Club. Mathew was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and some of our fondest memories were Sundays watching the Browns with Dad. Mathew is survived by his children Willard (Wendy) Stephens of Uniontown, Mary (Donzell) Taylor of Green and Marie (Terry) Cistone of Uniontown; grandchildren Mason, McKenna and Abby Stephens, Joe and Michael Taylor and Anthony, Dominic and Olivia Cistone. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Frank Capan and good friend Alex. The family will receive friends MONDAY from 5 to 8 Pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00 Am at the funeral home followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
