Obituary of Helen J. Pratt

Helen J. Pratt, 95, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept 17th, at Sunrise Assisted Living from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Helen was born and raised in Oliver, Pennsylvania where she met her late husband, Marshall Wayne Pratt. She moved to Cuyahoga Falls with her family 53 years ago. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church on Hudson Dr. Helen was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the River Estates Garden Club. Besides her husband, Wayne, who passed away Jan, 13, 1985, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Dr. Patricia Lee Summers, her son, Ronald Wayne Pratt and 6 brothers and sisters. She is survived by son, William E. Pratt (Elaine) of Akron, daughter, Marlyn K. Curnow (George) of Wirtz, Virginia, brother, Edward Burke (Linda) of Orofino, Idaho, daughter-in-law, Mary Pratt of Cuyahoga Falls, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Ross Slaughter on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff and caregivers at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls Reminiscence Wing for all their kind and loving care, and Harbor Light Hospice, especially Bill and Rebecca, for helping Helen make her final journey in the happiest and most peaceful way possible.
