Obituary of Margaret Olga Hajoway

Margaret Olga Hajoway, 88, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hudson Elms. She was born August 21, 1920 to Michael and Anna (Rybarski) Benko in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1999; her siblings Otto, Rudolph, Paul and Joseph Benko , Helen Meklovic, Ludmilla Gallo, Bessie Swinehart and Anne Benko; and is survived by her children Harold (Elisabeth) Hajoway of Monroe Falls and Joanne Hajoway of Philadelphia, Pa.; grandchildren Michael and Lissa Hajoway. Margaret's family is especially grateful to the staff at Hudson Elms for their faithful and compassionate care of their mother. Funeral services will be Tuesday 7:00pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 550 E Wilbeth Rd., Akron, OH 44301. Rev. Howard Grether officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7 pm at the church. Interment will take place Wednesday 10:00am at Rose Hill Burial Park.
