Obituary of Edna Mae Berisford

Edna Berisford, 84, passed away on September 16, at the Hospice Care Center in Copley. Born in Akron on February 18, 1928 to the late Clarence & Etta Squires, Edna was a lifetime area resident. She was a graduate of South High School and retired from the Akron Post Office on Wolf Ledges, where she worked as a mail clerk. Edna was an animal lover with a wonderful sense of humor. She had a giving heart and would go without in order to help others. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Donald, brothers Ralph & Jim and sisters Dorothy & Margie. She is survived by her children Marcy (Sam) Finney & Bryan (Audra) Berisford, all of Akron; grandsons Chris, Corey, and Noah, great-grandson Owen, as well as many other family members & friends. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, 5pm , at the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church, 578 Killian Rd., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
