Obituary of Shirley A. Shaffer

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Shirley A. Shaffer, 74, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Shirley enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas and at Mountaineer and also playing Bingo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Beard; and is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob; children, Kim (Skip) Longhitano, Bob (Sherri) Shaffer, Jr., Michele (Charles) Shinn, Missy (Marty) Vokas and Lori Bianchi; brother, Joseph (Vicky) Beard; sisters, Gloria Villers, Cindy (Bob) Glunt and Pauline Brownlow; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and special friends, Sally and Bernie Frye who shared in a double ring ceremony with Bob and Shirley 57 years ago. Funeral service will be held Monday, 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Fr.
