Deborah Kay Luczyk
Deborah Luczyk, 55, loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by her family on September 6 after her courageous fight against cancer. Debi was more than a wife to Bruce, she was his everything. To her children she was their best friend and inspiration and she was Nana to her grand babies.
Born in Chester Hill, OH on February 5, 1957, Debi was a lifetime Akron area resident. She was employed at Sears Department Stores. A dedicated wife & mother, Debi was truly devoted to her family. She loved hosting family get togethers, especially birthday parties, where her cakes were legendary. Debi was an avid camper who along with her husband Bruce, spent much time outdoors.
Preceded in death by her father Charles, Debi is survived by her loving husband Bruce of 40 years; mother Rose Horton; sons Joe (Kerry) & Nicholas Luczyk & daughters Amber (Clay Singer) Luczyk-Vazsonyi & Corrina (Scott) Benedum; sister Dorothy Slatten; beloved grandchildren Stephen & Angel Vazsonyi, Jacob Karam, Spencer, Danielle, Kayla, Cory, and Christina Benedum, and Natalia & Ava Luczyk.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.Pastor Linda McRay officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. Memorial contributions may be made at any Charter One Bank to the Love for Luczyk's Fund.
