Obituary of Robert MIlton Meckes

Robert (Bob) Meckes, 73, Akron, passed away Saturday March 28, 2009 at Cleveland Clinic. Born in Connellsville, PA, he was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Mae Miller; father, Milton Meckes and sister, Janice Soliday. He is survived by son Bryan (Terri) Meckes and daughter Linda Nathe; grandchildren Aaron, Kyle and Melissa Nathe, and David, Pilar and Adrianna Meckes. He was an Air Force Veteran, and member of the Wadsworth Pilot's Association. Funeral services will be held Friday April 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment of ashes will be held Monday April 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
