Margery Wolfe
With her family gathered, Margery Wolfe, of Springfield Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Born on October 13, 1921, Margery was a beautiful, hard working woman of great belief, who did her part in WWII as a young lady in the Women's Army Corps, holding the rank of E5 in the Signal Corp, stationed in Paris, France. After the war, she married her late husband Harry in 1946, and later became mother to a household of 6.
Margery Wolfe lived life with passion, honesty, and sacrifice. She nursed two daughters through polio, and all her children to success. She cooked so well, many had trouble leaving her home. Margery had a heart so big she gave whether she could afford it or not. She was an ocean of love whose waves will nurture our family for many generations to come. Thank you soo much Margery for everything…we will love you forever.
Margery was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Diane Taylor, who passed on July 25th, 1996; her son-in-law Frank Taylor; her wonderful husband Harry Wolfe, who passed on August 22, 2006; Margery was the last of eight children and was preceded by 7 siblings; mother and father Christian and Minnie (Overholdt) Zurschmidt . She is survived by her daughters H. Jane Sayre and her husband Howard of Springfield, Karen Anne Akers and her husband Bruce also of Springfield; son, Wayne Wolfe and his wife Carol of Richwood, OH; her granddaughters, Teresa Rodgers and her husband Chris, and Rebecca Burrell and her husband Jeff of Greenville, AL; grandson, Scott Dietz and his wife Monica of Coshocton; grandson Brian Dietz of Columbus; granddaughter Emily Lutton and her husband, Anthony also ofColumbus, grandson, Michael Wolfe of Richwood, OH; grandson Daniel Wolfe and his wife, Julie of Marrysville, OH; great grandsons, Jacob Christian Dietz and Adrian Daniel Wolfe and great-grandaughters Abigail Lutton and Victoria Burrell.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Donations in Margery's memory may be made to the First Church of God 464 Northeast Ave. Tallmadge, OH 44278.
