Obituary of Michael Hollosy
Michael Hollosy Sr. (Pop)
Michael Hollosy Sr. (Pop) was born in Akron, Ohio on october 6, 1916. The life of this good man has come to an end here, only to continue in greater glory on the other side. He left us on March 28, 2009. He was in the Calvalry and was retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. He lived a long and happy life. "He did it his way". He loved his 'Harley Days' and hung up his helmet at 80. He loved antique vehicles and animals (Max being his last). He loved 'the farm' and the wonderful times spent there with family and friends. He loved all of his family very deeply. We will miss him, but we know that we will be reunited in 'God's Time'. He is being welcomed across the threshold by the Lord and all of the others who have gone on before him. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Elizabeth; his loving wife, Helen; wonderful son David; brother Steve and most of his friends, including George ('Mushroom George'). His wish for all of us was to love one another and to have productive lives. We that are left behind for now are his baby sister Mary Haines; his oldest son Michael Jr. (Janet); grandchildren Denise (David) White, Christina (Tom) Nair, Michael Todd, David Jr. (Christy), Clarissa (Rick) Dixon, Laura (John) Demchock, and Renita Meyers. There are also many great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews, and his good friend Jack Morris, who meant alot to him.
A special thanks to all of the kind and loving people at Barberton Citizen's Hospital and at the St. Luke Lutheran Community.
Per Mike's wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
