Obituary of Helen M. Topper

Helen Topper, 91, passed away Tuesday St. Patrick's Day March 17, 2009 after a courageous battle against multiple illnesses. She had worked as a secretary at Harwick Chemical and also at her son's grocery store and restaurant. She loved gardening, canning, cooking, crocheting, knitting, sewing and made dolls and crafts for many friends and strangers. She loved the birds, ducks, geese, swans and blue herons in her yard. Born in Delphos, Ohio, she graduated from St. John's and lived in Akron most of her life. Helen was preceded in death by parents Rose and Lester Dishong and husbands Daniel Dockus and Albert Topper. She leaves her son David, niece Susan Hergert, cousin Noreen McDonald, cousins in Delphos, good former neighbors in Green and many friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. (corner of Steese and Massillon Rds in Green), where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Sunset Hills Burial Park.
