Obituary of Melania Didyk

Melania (Baba) Didyk, 91, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, August 31, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born in Poland, Melania and her husband, Teodor, brought their young family to America in 1959. Throughout the years, she worked at Leon's Restaurant, Mohawk Rubber Company and Ferriot Brothers. Preceded in death by loving husband, Teodor in 1972; and son, Stefan; she leaves behind daughter, Maria (James) Stevens; and son, John (Maria). She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Burick and VNS Hospice for their loving care of our Baba. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, Ohio 44260 where Melania will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH where a Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Nicholas Church Icon Fund.
