Obituary of Kent Summers

Kent Summers, 43, suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on January 2 and died January 8, 2009.Kent is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Shannon; three brothers—Scott (Debbie), Steve (Suzanne), Greg (Yana); three nephews and a niece—Mike, Nick, Kyle, Katie; and his adoring cat, Rain. He was preceded in death by his parents (Sanford and Beverly).Kent graduated from Mentor High School in 1983 and earned a BS in Management from Case Western Reserve University in 1988. He spent many years working for DRB systems in Akron, OH, and recently umpired little league baseball, which he loved dearly.Cremation has taken place. Calling hours are Saturday, January 24, from 2 to 3 pm, with a memorial service to follow at Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4478 Massillon Rd (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds in Green). In keeping with Kent's personality, dress is very casual. (No ties allowed.) After the service, there will be a potluck at Scott's home.Kent was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
