Obituary of Mary Martha Mehok

Mary M. Mehok, 94, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008. She was born in Bryant, Indiana and was an Akron area resident for most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and St. Paul's Ladies Guild and had served as church secretary for Fr. Clark and Fr. Gallagher. She was preceded in death by son, John Mehok; brothers, Bernard and James Laux; and sisters, Catherine Crusey, Cordula Gehrlich, Rosina Laux and Aurelia Higgonbothom. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roy Cain; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Liz Mehok; sisters, Lucy Laux and Martha Lauterbur; sister-in-law, Rosemary Laux; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Fr. Ralph Thomas officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Donations may be made to St. Paul Church Building Fund.
