Obituary of Job Carna Fejes
Joe Fejes, 86, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Akron General Medical Center.
He was born in Akron and retired from B.F. Goodrich Chemical after 38 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. serving during the World War II era. Mr. Fejes was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church where he also served as catering manager for 2 years. He coached Little League Baseball and received great joy from watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports—especially soccer. "Go Cavs!"
He was preceded in death by 3 infant sisters, Mary, Victoria and Pauline; and parents, George and Mary Fejes. He is survived by wife of 67 years, Ann; son, George (Denise); daughter, JoAnn (Karl) Sarver; ex-daughter-in-law, Mary Fejes; grandchildren, Michael (Traci), Brett (Cindy), Chad (Michelle) and Keri Sarver and Kyle (Mike) Radak; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Joshua, Hogan, Tanji, Jillian and Collin Sarver.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION) in Akron. Very Rev. Dr. Ian Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333.
