Obituary of Marian Mae Freudeman

Marian "Mae" Freudeman left this world and entered the arms of Christ on August 17, 2012. Born in Akron on November 24th, 1918, she spent her entire life in the Akron area. She grew up as a girl in Tallmadge, Ohio and developed close friendships that lasted throughout her life. She loved to dance and would go to the local dance halls to see the Big Bands with her boyfriend and later husband, George R. Freudeman She was always active with her friends, traveling, bowling and playing cards Marion was a full time mother and homemaker who loved to bake and care for her family. Her life was one of dedication and service to God, family and community. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls. She served as a Sunday school teacher and on various boards and circle groups. She was active in the Cuyahoga Falls Cancer Club organizing fundraising campaigns to help local residents with medical bills for cancer treatment. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Nancy Freudeman; sisters, Betty and Grace; and brothers, Jimmy and Freddy. She is survived by her three fine sons who will miss her dearly, Ron (Della), Richard ( Donna) and Terry (Ina) Freudeman; and her grandchildren, Lisa, Alan, Amy and Joseph. Marian's family would like to thank the staff at Cardinal Village for the loving care they provided during her five year stay and the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their support . Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls on Hudson Drive where a luncheon will be held and all are welcome immediately following the interment. Rev. Ross Slaughter officiating. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery in Akron. The family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to either the Falls Cancer Club or the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
