Obituary of Josephine M. Scichilone

Josephine M. Scichilone (Lichi), 90, passed away Friday Sept. 5, 2008. She was born April 25, 1918 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. A kind and gentle soul who always thought of others each and everyday, all her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, volunteer and avid card player and dancer. She helped to co-found Good Neighbors in Akron. Longtime member of Firestone Park Christian Church and retired from Bank One. She was also a member of Coventry AARP and Green Seniors (RSVP). Preceded in death by husband William and daughter-in-law Susan, she is survived by beloved sons David and James; sisters Angeline Bianco, MaryAnn (Edward) Fullerton; brothers John (Olga) Lichi, Louis (Coni) Lichi; sister-in-law Rachel Lichi and special friend Stanley Ogrizek. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral service will be Monday, 11am at the funeral home with Rev.
