Obituary of Anna M Piurkowsky

Anna M. Piurkowsky, 94, passed away Friday August 22, 2008. She was born March 4, 1914 in Lilly, PA and came to Akron 70 years ago. Anna worked for B.F. Goodrich during WWII and the Pilsudski Club on Cole Ave. for 20 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler. Mrs. Piurkowsky was preceded in death by her husband Anthony; son Joseph (Carol) Wytosick and daughter Anna Mae Hayes. She is survived by sons Anthony (Barbara), William (Rosemary); sister Helen Mardula; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
