Obituary of George D. Kolinoff
George D. Kolinoff, 83, passed away August 19, 2008 after a long illness. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 12, 1924 to the late Dimitry and Constantina Kolinoff. George graduated from Springfield High School and joined the U. S. Army during WWII. He attended the University of Akron. He last worked for McDonald's. Prior to that he was involved with the families Royal Sandwich Shop, Ohio Store Fixtures and Rizzi Distributors. George attended St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church and was a member of Macedonian Businessman's Club (MBC), VFW Post # 3383, The American legions Post # 449, and Mt. Akra Lodge #680. He was preceded in death by this parents, sisters Mildred Androff and Catherine Eliff, step-grandson John Rodriguez. George is survived by his wife Mildred "Millie" Kolinoff; son, John (Sharon) Kolinoff of Canal Fulton; daughters, Linda (Clark) Rodriguez of W. Palm, Florida, Saundra (John) Hawkins of Hartville, Renee (Donny) Schwarz of Reseda, California. Grandchildren Danielle and Christopher Nance; Olivia, Angelo and Maria Kolinoff; Ashlyn Schwarz; and Katelyn Smith. Step-grand daughter Natalie Hall. A special thanks to ALL the employees at Pebble Creek for the care given to "The Pebble Creek Bandit" during his stay. Also, to Kayley for her visits and cheers. The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., where Parastas service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church, 555 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services, Fr. James Wright officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park where VFW Post 3383 will conduct military services.
