Obituary of Mary Bakonyi

Mary Bakonyi, 87, was received into the arms of the Lord Sunday, August 3, 2008. She was born in Yugoslavia and emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1956 and settled in the Akron area. She was a member of Fairlawn Lutheran Church, the German Family Society in Brimfield and the Hungarian-American Club in Akron. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed flowers and doting on and cooking for her grandchildren. She is survived by husband, Joseph; daughter and son-in-law, Cornelia and Jack Juron; and grandchildren, J. Vincent and Natalie Juron. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION) in Akron. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Pastor Tom Zucconi of Fairlawn Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 11 a.m. until time of service.
