Obituary of Mildred Eva Kaludy
Mildred Kaludy, 'Baba', 88, passed away July 22, at Heather Knoll in Tallmadge.
Born in Flint, MI in 1920, Mildred had been an area resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of Kenmore High School and Riggs-Lemar Beauty College. Mildred was also active in and was the former president of the PTA's at Voris Elementary, Roswell Kent Middle, and Garfield High Schools.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter, in 2005. brothers Sam Gadson and Donald Gadjansky; sister Mary Loudon. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Elaine and Sam and Debbie Kaludy; daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Bill McGee; grandchildren David and Mark Kaludy, Dr. Scott (Kim) McGee, Steve (Natalie) McGee, Laura McGee, Brian (Megan McPeek) Kaludy, and Michelle (Michael) Harmon; great-grandchildren Andrew, Madison, Colin, Maren, and Landon McGee; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would also like to extend to the staff of Heather Knoll their sincere thanks and gratitude for the loving care that was given to their mother during her time there.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 1815 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44313.
