Obituary of Victoria R. Phillips

-STOW Victoria R. Phillips, 94, formerly of Stow, passed away July 28, at the VNS Hospice in Copley. Born in Akron in 1913, Victoria had been a lifetime area resident. Mom showed us with warmth and love that family brings purpose to life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John in 1991; sisters Jean Edwards and Angie DeMarko and brother Toby Morrelli. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Frank and Katherine of Green, John and Kristine of Green, and Rodney and Cheryl Phillips of Hudson; sister Lucille Rinella of Cuyahoga Falls and Dorothy Briston of Madison Heights, MI; brother-in-law John DeMarko of Tallmadge; grandchildren Stephanie (Paul) Adamson, Tom (Gretchen) Phillips, Michael (Kelli) Phillips, Lesley (Kenneth) Anderson, Alexis (James) Hiller and Adam Brenneman, great-grandchildren Taylor, Clayton, Lauren, Jordan, Jason, Tanner, and Noah, with one great-great-grandchild on the way. Victoria loved spending time with her family and cooking Italian meals. Her love, as well as her spaghetti sauce nourished us all. Her strong family values have been passed down through the generations. And if there is one thing to remember her by it is the joy and smiles she shared with her grand-children and great grand-children. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Victoria's memory may be made to the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
