Obituary of Robert Johnson

Robert Johnson, 87, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at Bath Manor Care Center. He was born in Akron and was a member of Firestone Park Christian Church. Mr. Johnson was a radio dispatcher with the City of Akron retiring in 1984 after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle in 2005; parents, Clarence and Lula Johnson; sisters, Clara and Catherine; and brother, Raymond. He is survived by daughters, Patricia (John) Vance, Dorothy (Donald) Lauer, Linda Barden and Barbara (Robert) Zeh; grandchildren, Andrew, Kara and John Vance, Brian, Brent and Trent Lauer and Shawn Barden; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Colin, Nick, Kaitlin and Michael. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). Rev. Richard Ferris officiating.
