Obituary of Harry E. Gross
Harry E. Gross, 79, passed away Sunday July 13, 2008 from a short illness. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Adella; children, Kathy (John) Wladyczak, Stephanie Rollins, Brenda Gross and Harry Gross; grandchildren, Aaron Rollins and Joe Wladyczak; sisters, Alice Nichols and Helen Triplett, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Harry served in the Air Force from 1947 to 1953 during the Korean War. He then joined the Akron Fire Department and initiated the Emergency Medical Technician program in Ohio. In addition for many years, he volunteered for the Coventry Fire Department while instructing EMT classes for the Akron Board of Education. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the caring doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road in Copley, as well as the care from the staff of Home Helpers in Barberton, Ohio. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held Friday 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park where VFW Post 3383 will conduct military services. Donations may be made to the VNS Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333.
