Obituary of Helen Grossmayer
Helen (Boyer) Grossmayer, 86, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, June
11, 2008.
She was born in Salem, Ohio and was a member of Presentation of Our Lord
Orthodox Church and Ladies Auxiliary and the Junior Women's Civic Club. She
enjoyed playing cards with friends and loved people. She never met a
stranger. She had worked for A C & Y Railroad and also for Montgomery Ward.
She was preceded in death by parents, Valentine and Mary Moga; husband,
David Grossmayer; and brother, Valentine Moga. She is survived by sons,
Robert and Gene Boyer both of Akron; daughter, Linda Boyer of Copley;
step-children, Marianne (Joseph) Revesz of Copley, James Grossmayer of
Akron, Elizabeth Grossmayer (Alan Cederquist) of Fresno, California, Barbara Grossmayer
of Buffalo, New York, Jeanne Grossmayer of Camp Verde, Arizona, Melanie
(John) Teagle of Cold Spring, New York and David (Kirsten) Grossmayer of
Copley; sister-in-law, Kathy Moga; grandchildren, Kris (John) Johnson, Kelli
Boyer, Traian (Shajuana) Boyer, Cassidy Teagle, David Urban, Joe (Dannette) Revesz, John Revesz, Eric
(Lesa) Revesz and Deborah (Michael) Smith; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord
Orthodox Church where Helen will lie in state one hour prior to service. Fr.
Ian Pac-Urar officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family
will receive friends Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home
Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION)
where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to
