Obituary of F.W. Ted Narney
F. W. "Ted" Narney, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
He was born in Akron and retired from Holland Oil Company. He was a member
of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates and the Fraternal Order of
Eagles. He was also a lifelong bowler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray L. and Comfort M. (Stewart)
Narney; brothers, Donald, Alvin and Gerald; and sister, Dorothy Russell. He
is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy "Dottie" (Barcus); son, Dennis
W.; daughter, Tedi (Ted) Esber; sisters, Rae Marie (Sam) Heflick and Julia
"Judy" (Sonny) Dray; grandchildren, Jennifer (Darol) Davis, Jason (Maria)
Nichols and Mitchell Narney; 6 great-grandchildren; and special friends,
Chad Welch and Curt Holbien.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Hope United Methodist
Church. Rev. Kenneth Baillis officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial
Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the
Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE
