Obituary of Anna Francis McClarnon

Anna Frances (Francie) McClarnon, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 surrounded by her family. Anna was born on October 4,1922 in Anthlone, Ireland. She was preceded in death by her dear Irish parents, brothers and sisters, and most recently sister Mae. She is survived by her loving and loyal husband; James of sixty-two years. Together they cherished the vows they made to each other at Our Lady of Grace Church in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on July 24, 1945. Anna will forever remain the faithful and sweetest mother to her six children; son and daughter-in-law James and Elizabeth McClarnon; daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and William Laughlin, Cynthia and Ronald Miller, Pauline and Robert Howard, Mary Ann and Brad Downing, and Teresa and Wayne Graves. She felt so blessed to have a big family that continued to grow through her lifetime. She leaves her grandchildren; Marcie (Ted), Christa (Gary), Michael (Jill), Ryan (Marcie), Shaun, Shanna (Andy), Ian, Erica (Evan), Megan, Julian, Nathan, Paula and Ron. Her great grandchildren added to her joy; Jenna, Christopher, Caleb, Liam, Audrey, Riley, Colin, Lily, Annie and Macy. Anna lived each day of her life committed to her faith in God. She has been a dedicated member of St. Paul's Catholic Church for over sixty-years. It is there she served as a participant of the St. Paul's Ladies Guild, Mission Circle 76, Volunteer at Loyola of the Lakes, Prayer Line advocate, Rosary Leader at morning weekday masses, volunteer at St. Paul's School Library during all of her children's education, and assisted for over forty years in preparing garments and church linens for priests and the altar loved her St. Paul's family and felt their love and prayers. Throughout the years she supported many church missions. We welcome friends and family to attend calling hours on Wednesday, May 21, 4-8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. The St. Paul's Ladies Guild will be saying the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery followed by a luncheon at St. Paul's Social Hall. Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Paul Catholic Church.
