Obituary of Daniel Raymond Fongheiser

Danny, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2012, at his home outside on a beautiful day while on his swing. Danny loved taking care of his yard and spending time with his family. It was always a joy to watch a game with him and share his excitement as a loyal Browns and Indians fan. He inherited his passion of decorating and over-decorating for Christmas from his father. Danny was a true animal lover. He shared his home with several birds and dogs. Preceded in death by his father, James. He is survived by his mother, Rita; children, D.J. and Jessica; sisters, Beth (Ken) Rusinoff, Mary (Jay) O'Connor, Judy (Jim) Buehrle, Tina (Dave) Murren and Nancy (Jim) Eckman; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Aunt Joanne and Uncle Joe and his neighbors, Craig and Mike, for their kindness and caring. Danny treasured your friendship. Viewing will be held TONIGHT, August 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 South Main St. in Akron. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4009 Manchester Rd., Akron, with interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
