Obituary of Joseph Joroski

Joseph Joroski, 82, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at the VNS Hospice Care Center. He was born May 29, 1925 in Akron to Joseph and Verna Joroski and lived in Akron his entire life. He retired from BF Goodrich Tire and Rubber Co. in 1987 after 44 years of service. He served his country in WWII in the Navy aboard the Destroyer USS Wiseman. He was part of the invasion fleet of the Philippine Liberation in Leytle Gulf. He loved the game of bowling and was part of many championship teams. He was a member of AA, which gave him back his life. Joseph leaves his wife of 56 years, Wilma; brother Henry (Betty) of San Jose, Calif.; nephews Randy Wiggins and Joe Joroski; nieces Paula Marts, Diana Joroski and Carol Mandel; and was preceded in death by his brother Ben. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 7:00pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. MAIN St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). Cremation will follow.
