Obituary of Ralph Ciccione

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Ralph P. Cicione (Papa), 75, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away April 12, 2008. He was born in Akron and was a lifetime resident of Cuyahoga Falls. He was past-president of the Italian-American Societies of Summit County, past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council # 547, former member of the Citizen's Committee for Community Development, vice-president of the Kenmore Italian Civic Club, member of the Unione Abruzzese. Ralph was a graduate of the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science and was the owner of the Cicione Insurance Agency. He was the president and general chairman of the first Italian-American Festival held on the Front Street Mall in Cuyahoga Falls. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Argentina Cicione. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Dolores; son Anthony (Christina Fanning) and daughter Annmarie (Eric) King; daughter-in-law Marihelyn Horrigan; sisters Teresa (Gordon) Tibbs, Mary (Darrell) Ludle, Anna (Robert) Johann; grandchildren Anthony, Kathryn, Ellejanna, and Rocco Cicione and Michael, Timothy, Dominic King; cousin Julianna DiPasquale; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-9 pm at the McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home (at 3rd st., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls), where the Unione Abruzzese will meet at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 am, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family c/o the funeral home.
