Obituary of Kathleen Rudolph

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Kathleen Rudolph, 95, went home to be with the Lord on April 26, at Traditions in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Born in Trenton, NJ in 1912, Kathleen attended high school there and was a graduate of Immaculata University near Philadelphia, PA. She was a Latin teacher at McCorristin High School in Trenton for over 20 years, retiring in 1977. Kathleen however, could not stay retired for long. Her passion for learning took her to Trenton State College, where she earned a Master's in counseling before returning to McCorristin as a guidance counselor. In 1982 she moved to Worcester, MA, where she lived until moving to the Traditions Assisted Living Center in September of last year. Kathleen was a former member of The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Trenton, NJ and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Worcester, MA. Although she was unable to attend church locally, she still was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church and was ministered to by Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish during her time at Traditions. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Ernest in 1989 and her brother Walter. She is survived by her sons Ernest (Linda) Rudolph of Des Moines, IA and Michael (Kathy) Rudolph of Valparaiso, IN; daughters Mary (John) Bierfeldt of Worcester, MA and Ann (Tony) Dean of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; grandchildren Eric, Jimmy, and Michael Rudolph, Angela Schemel, Johnny, Michael, Kate, and Danny Bierfeldt, Meg Hewes, Maribeth Cremer, Anthony Dean III, Kevin Dean, Kathleen Rizzo, and Sarah Dean; great-grandchildren Sam, Angela, Kyle, Christopher, Landon, Avery, Caroline, Tommy, Alex, Morgan, Amber, Anthony IV, Nicholas, Brianna, Isabelle, and Julia. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home (at 3rd st., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Eugene Catholic Church. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walsh Jesuit High School Annual Fund 4550 Wyoga Lake Rd.
