Obituary of Louise A. Morris-Montgomery
Louise Morris-Montgomery died Tuesday April 8, 2008. She was born in West Virginia and lived most of her life and Akron, Ohio. Louise came to Akron during World War II to work in the office at General Tire. She left to raise her family. She went to work for the Akron Planning division of Akron City Government in the 60's when the girls were older. She worked for the Akron Planning division over 35 years. She was an active member of Lakeview Christian Church, Gideons, City of Akron's 20 Year Club, Green AARP, and Akron Men's Garden Club. Her work with the Christian Children's Home of Ohio was very satisfying. She leaves behind daughters, Linda (Gary) Lawrence, Patricia (Jim) Mesko, Janis (Daniel) Oravec; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, plus stepsons David (Jane) of Copley, Timothy (Debra) of Powell, Ohio, Matthew (Jeani) of Charlottesville, Va. and Rev. Danny (Marilyn) Wheeler of Sciota, N.Y. and their families. Louise was preceded in death by Jack Morris, her first husband and the father of her children, Connie Wilson, daughter, Richard Wilson, son-in-law, and Thomas Montgomery, her second husband. Friends may call at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 South Main Street on Sunday 3-6 p.m. A memorial service will be held Monday 10:30 a.m. at Lakeview Christian Church, 4613 S. Main St. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Children's Home of Ohio, Wooster, Ohio; Gideons International; Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice; or charity of your choice, in memory of Louise.
