Obituary of Geraldine Cole

Geraldine Cole, 76, passed away March 15, 2008 at Akron City Hospital. She grew up in Akron but moved to Green building a home in 1949, raising four children with her husband "Jack". She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Cole, son Jackie, daughter Sandi and twin brother Gerald Wiley and is survived by her son Dr. Douglas and Buffe Cole and daughter Kay and Daniel Yoho; loving grandchildren Courtney and Joe Dietrich, Meredith Cole, Dan Yoho and Katie Yoho; brothers and sisters Eileen (Richard) Little of Eugene, Oregon, Betty (Paul) Johnson of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Myrle (Evelyn) Wiley of Tallmadge, Ohio, Marvin Wiley (Gloria Larson) of Eugene, Oregon, Ray (Jeanne) Wiley of Medina, Ohio sister-in-law Lola Wiley of Debary, Florida; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Doris Cole and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was a gifted artist, co-owner of Jerri's Crafts. She was a "charter" member of Greensburg Temple Baptist Church, where her friends were many and close as family. She was a resident of Greenview Inn, Green Ohio where she smiled each day because of great staff like Lori and friends like Jerry. Friends may call TODAY from 5 to 8 p.m at Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds. in Green). Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00am at Greensburg Temple Baptist Church with calling hours one hour prior to services. Rev. Glenn Rogers officiating. Interment Greensburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Greensburg Temple Baptist Cole Memorial Fund.
