Obituary of Ray LaDean Clapsaddle
GREEN - Ray Clapsaddle, 79, of Green, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008.
Ray was born October 4, 1928 to George and Ruby (Latham) Clapsaddle in Alliance, Ohio and had been a Green resident since 1950. He was employed by Ohio Edison for over 38 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of Greensburg United Methodist Church and was a master Mason with the Clinton - Massillon Chapter 47 Lodge F&AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. He was proud to have been a volunteer fire fighter for Greensburg Fire Department. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a drill instructor during the Korean War.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jo Ann; children Mark of Green and Rae Ann (Richard) Straub of Blairsville, Ga.; grandchildren Angie (Asa) Town, Christopher (Tina), Andrew (Olivia), Michael, Candice (Travis) Young and Carley Straub; great grandchildren Connor, Alexander and Bridget; sisters-in-law Patricia bond, Delores Clapsaddle and Jean Finan; many nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by his infant daughter Megan and brothers Charles, Richard, William and Roy.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:00am at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (Corner of Steese and Massillon Roads in Green). Rev. Rory Wineka officiating. Interment Greensburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4 to 8pm at the funeral home.
