Obituary of Michael S. Rowles

Michael S. Rowles, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Barberton Citizens Hospital. He was born in Akron, had been employed by Stouffer Foods and was a member of Coventry Crossing Church of Christ. Mr. Rowles was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving during the Vietnam War era and was a sports referee for football, baseball and volleyball. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty; sisters, Beverly Libertini, Rita (Don) Cianciola and Barbara Rostedt; brother-in-law, Frank (Pat) Sabo; sister-in-law, Pat (Steve) Flock; and many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the entire staff of Pleasantview Care Center for all of their loving care and support. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Coventry Crossing Church of Christ, 552 Swartz Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319.
