Obituary of Charles G. Kelley
Charles G. Kelley passed away peacefully on February 22, 2008. He was born in Newport, Ky on February 23, 1914 and moved to Akron in 1939. He married Marguerite J. Stack in 1940 and was married forty-four years. Preceded in death by his loving wife Marguerite and son, Brian Kelley. He is survived by five sons, Dr. Charles Kelley (Providence RI), Kevin Kelley (Avon Lake, OH), Timothy Kelley (Yucca Valley, CA), Rev. Michael Kelley (Westerly RI), Campion Kelley (Akron, OH), daughter, Christine Domenico (Meadow Vista, CA), eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Charles was a WWII veteran (Captain, Army Air Corp.); graduate of the University of Akron in 1949 (Bachelor of Science in Business Admin.); employed for forty-four years as an accountant at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. retiring in 1983; and an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church for sixty years. He was a very loving and kind father, grandfather and a true gentleman who will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 a.m at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
