Obituary of John Betsa

John Betsa, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn. He was born in Dixonville, Pennsylvania and was a member of St. Mary Orthodox Church in Akron. He retired from the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Akron in 1981 after 30 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving during World War II. Funeral services will take place SATURDAY, 9:30 a.m. at the Bence Funeral Home, 655 Franklin St. in Clymer, Pennsylvania followed by a Funeral Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Orthodox Church. Very Rev. Fr. R. Michael Zak and Very Rev. Dr. Myron Zuder officiating. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home where a Panachida service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the church.
