Obituary of William P. McIntyre
William P. McIntyre, 64, went home to the Lord on February 12, 2008 after a
brave and courageous battle with a long illness.
Bill was born in Akron, Ohio and attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
He was a loving and committed father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and
friend. He had a heart of gold and would lend a hand to anyone in need. His
bright smile and wink of his eye would make you smile back. He owned Billy's
Uptown Café and had a career as a meat cutter/driver for City Meats until
they closed the business and he retired from Stow Apples. His greatest loves
were his family, fishing, bowling, "big-ball" softball, corvettes, fast
cars, Ohio State Buckeyes and being around people.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; and father, Richard. He is
survived by his children, Christine (Andy) Dunchuck and Kimberly McIntyre;
grandchildren, Cami, Carli, Kain and Samantha; his sisters, Catherine (Jeff)
Knapp and Becky (Thomas) Hanna; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
An Irish Blessing. -May the roads rise to meet you. May the wind be always
at your back. May the sunshine warm your face. And until we meet again, May
God hold you in the palm of his hand.
