Obituary of William P. McIntyre

William P. McIntyre, 64, went home to the Lord on February 12, 2008 after a brave and courageous battle with a long illness. Bill was born in Akron, Ohio and attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He was a loving and committed father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and friend. He had a heart of gold and would lend a hand to anyone in need. His bright smile and wink of his eye would make you smile back. He owned Billy's Uptown Café and had a career as a meat cutter/driver for City Meats until they closed the business and he retired from Stow Apples. His greatest loves were his family, fishing, bowling, "big-ball" softball, corvettes, fast cars, Ohio State Buckeyes and being around people. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; and father, Richard. He is survived by his children, Christine (Andy) Dunchuck and Kimberly McIntyre; grandchildren, Cami, Carli, Kain and Samantha; his sisters, Catherine (Jeff) Knapp and Becky (Thomas) Hanna; and many nieces, nephews and relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. MAIN ST.
