Obituary of Helen Timura

Helen Timura, 84, passed away, November 25, at the Arbors of Fairlawn. Born in Ernest, PA in 1923, Helen had been an Akron-Barberton area resident since 1950. She worked for Akro Mills for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and volunteered for the church catering service for many years. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Maria Tootyn; husband Mike; sisters Mary and Anna and daughters-in-law Vincetta and Kathryn. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Stephen of Akron, Daniel and Patricia of Senecaville, OH, Roger and Lea of Clinton, and David of Mantua, OH; sister Veronica Heny of Indiana, PA; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends TODAY, from 5-8 pm at The Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS), where a Parastas will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 1051 Robinson Ave., where Helen will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment St. Nicholas at Cemetery in Clinton. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church 1051 Robinson Ave. Barberton, OH 44203.
