Obituary of Bert McCoy

Bert McCoy "The Real McCoy" Bert, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Nov. 28, 2007. Born in Dunlary, Ky 1924. He retired from Goodyear after 42 years of dedicated service. Bert was known for his silly sense of humor and unconditional love for his family. Preceded in death by his mother Anna Taylor, sister Violet Compton, and father Jesse. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 58 1/2 years Carrie, daughters Carol McCoy (Green), Theresa Campailla (Cincinnati) , Pam (Michael) Dietrich (Green), special "adopted" daughter Chris Cheronis. Grandchildren Natalie (Jeff) Cooper, Stephanie and Tina Dudra, Michael ll and Kailie Dietrich, Anthony (Devon) Campailla, Deanna Campailla; great-granddaughter Olivia Cooper. He was also a foster father to 99 babies. The family will receive friends Friday 5-8 p.m. at the Anthony & Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. (corner of Massillon & Steese Rds. in Green). Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
