Obituary of Walter Olijnyk

Walter Olijnyk, 86, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Akron City Hospital. He was born in Lavieve, Ukraine and came to the United States in 1950. He was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Byzantine Rite Church and retired from the American Can Company after 20 years of service. He is survived by wife of 58 years, Antonia; and friends, Pauline, Luba, Ehor and Cleo Halamay, Mary Bobochuk, Mary Best and Family and Pauline Levenek. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. and at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Byzantine Rite Church. Fr. Ignatius Kury officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
