Obituary of Joyce L. Coffman

Joyce L. Coffman, 53, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2007 following an 18 month battle with cancer. Mrs. Coffman was born September 4, 1954 in Akron, Ohio to the late Gordon and Gladys Benson. She was a graduate of Garfield High School Class of 1972. She was an administrative assistant with several schools and churches in the community including Annunciation, Queen of Heaven Church, and was last employed with Hope Academy. Mrs. Coffman cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Kenneth. Also surviving are her daughters, Amy (Daniel) Bornstine of Barberton, Ohio and Beth West (Brian Cline) of Green, Ohio. She leaves six granddaughters, Megan, Samantha, Sydney, Madison, Brooke, and Brielle. Also surviving are her sisters, Judy (Charles) Riley, Jan (Jeff) Hilton, Jennifer Benson (Kevin Hooks) and brother Gordon (Shawna)Benson. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. "You are loved by all and will be deeply missed." The family wishes to thank her many caregivers and all who helped her through her courageous journey. The family will receive friends on Monday 5 - 9 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION). Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation to follow services. Interment of ashes will be in Hillside Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
