Obituary of Mary Susan Condley
Mary Susan Condley, 85, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007.
She was born in Augusta, West Virginia, the daughter of Denzil and Myrtle (Cummins) Powell. She spent her early years on the family farm. She was a graduate of Romney High School in Romney, West Virginia and Hammel Actual Business College in Akron, Ohio. She was an active member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls and the Phoenix Class for many years. Mrs. Condley worked for American Anode, a rubber research laboratory during World War II and First National of Akron, retiring in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardin C. Condley; brother, Lloyd C. Powell; and sister, Evelyn Weaver. She is survived by son, Brad (Sarah) Condley of Winchester, Kentucky; daughters, Jill Reeves of Akron, Ohio and Lynne (Fred) Vanhorn of Columbia Falls, Montana; sister, Clara Martin of Akron, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Andrew Reeves, Clay and Sarah Condley and Peter and Alexander Vanhorn.
Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McGowan-Reid and Santos Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Gail Lindsey officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 2253 3rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
