Obituary of Maxine Davidson
Maxine Davidson, 69, passed away Thursday Sept. 6, 2007 Born Dec. 11, 1937 at Akron Peoples Hospital to Rose and Max Artymovich. Maxine lived in and enjoyed the Akron area all her life, and lived in Green 30 plus years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Ladies Altar Aid and Women's Club. Maxine was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Mogadore and Ellet Eastern Star. She enjoyed the outdoors, ice skating, swimming, gardening, canning, sewing, cooking and the Summit Co. Fall Hiking Spree. She was proud to be of the Class of 55 of Hower High and loved the 50's music and cars that went with her generation. She is survived by her five children, James, Daniel and his wife Joyce, Darlene and her husband Jim, Max and his wife Dee, and Mike. She is also survived by sister Sandra and nephew Chris and niece Shelly; cousins Patricia Pavelchak and Joan Maty and her husband Paul. Her children and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. Grandchildren are Jason, Carrie, Justin, Shellie, Kelly, Katie, Stacy, David, Ashley, John, Joe; great grandchildren Josh, Jacob, Jesse, Samantha, Andrew, Daniel and Lane. She was an inspiration and paragon of strength throughout her battle with diabetes and strokes. One of her favorite quotes is: "Be a persistent force not a compelling brake. She truly believed in the following SLAVA ISUSU CHRISTU! / Glory to Jesus Christ ! and Christ is Risen ! The family will receive friends Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd., where a Parastas service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Fr. Nicholas Wyslusky officiating. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery.
