Obituary of Bettie Horoschak

Bettie Horoschak pased away Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and had been an Akron resident most of her life. She was employed by the B.F. Goodrich Tire and Rubber Company for 40 years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and the Ladies Altar Aid Society. Mrs. Horoschak was preceded in death by her first husband Ervin Sutterly and her beloved husband Nicholas (Nick); parents, John and Anna Molnar; brother Alex Molnar; uncles, Andrew (Jan) and Frank Sekely; sisters-in-law Julia (Bill) Sikora, and Mary (Sam) Ramnytz; brothers-in-law John Horoschak and Sam Letta; stepdaughter Martha (David) Burgess, and long time friends Stella Mesko and Dorothy Nash. She is survived by special sister-in-law and long time care giver, Helen Letta; step-daughter, Connie Pysell; step-granddaughter Nicole (David) Majewski and step greatgrandson Nicholas whom she loved and adored; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by loving friends Robyn (Russell) Andrick, Jean McGowan, Mary Oravec, Penny (Charles) Davis, Mike Nash and special neighbors Sandy and John Cervone. A special thanks to Dr. H. Patel, Summa Hospital and Hospice, Pleasant View Health Care Center both of Barberton, and Manor Care of Akron, St. Nicholas Russian School children for all their cards and the Church members who remembered her during her illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Mogadore, where the body will lie in state one hour prior to services. Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron, where Parastas services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Nicholas Cemetery. Maintenance fund. "God saw you getting weaker, So He did what He thought best. He came and stood beside you and He whispered "Come to rest." We could not understand it, No matter how we tried. If Love could have saved you, You never would have died."
