Obituary of John 'Johnny D' Desimone

John 'Johnny D.' Desimone II, 50, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 after a brief illness. He was born March 23, 1957 in Akron and had been an Akron resident his entire life. He was the owner-operator of the cyber-business Heresssjohnny. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 3410, where he was active in the bowling league, and the Skypark Pilots Club. John attended St. Paul Grade School and was a 1975 graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School. John was ever resourceful and had built his own small plane which he flew all over the United States. He loved gardening and had amazing hops (beer) and blueberry (wine) crops. His other passions were camping and fishing and he was often accused of taking all the trout out of the lake or river. John loved his parents John and Josephine (Vaccaro) Desimone and was proud to be their caretaker in the last few years. He also leaves his beloved sister and brother-in-law Joani and Louie Isabella and their children Christopher, Sean and Michael all of Scotia, NY; aunts and uncles Anna Vaccaro, Fran and Rocky Guistino, Frank (Linda) Vaccaro, Joan (Joe) Finelli and Eugene (Grace) Usberghi; he leaves many loving cousins; he will be missed by his camping and fishing friends. He was preceded in death by his aunts Virginia Schifano and Catherine Paparone. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30am at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd., and 10:00am at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Alex Kalathikattil officiating. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 4 to 8pm at the funeral home.
