She was born in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of John and Margaret Wood. She moved to the Falls at the age of 2 and has been a lifelong resident. She was a 1930 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and was an assistant at Ewing Oral Surgeon Group in Akron. She was a member of Uniontown Church of Christ. She leaves three children,John Hess of Uniontown, James Hess, and Betty (Steve) Stevens of Cuyahoga Falls. And numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren Funeral services will be Tuesday 11AM at the McGowan-Reid and Santos Funeral Home(corner of stow and 3rd in the Falls).
