Obituary of Iva June Dillon

Iva June Carter Dillon, 76, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007. A long-time resident of Akron, she was loved by her neighbors and prided herself in her immaculate house and impeccable lawn and yard work. An avid country music fan, she loved spending time with her Quaker Parrot, Spunky, whom she had for more than fifteen years. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Robert C. Dillon. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her children, Linda Kay Carter, Larry and his wife, Kathleen Carter, Carol Ann Carter, and Joyce C. Carter; grandchildren, Ryan Michael, Carrie Ann, Bryan William, Ashley Patricia, and Allison Marie; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Carter and Ella Kate; and her best friend of more than fifty years, Dorothy Pitman, among an array of other close friends. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd. Funeral services and interment will be held Monday 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Rd., Rev. Scott Campbell officiating.
